Aldona Kmieć is a Polish-born Australian photographic artist based in Melbourne. After living and working in Warsaw and London, she migrated to Australia in 2009. Her deep connection to the land and the stories it holds has profoundly influenced her art practice dedicated to photography, installation, and mixed media. Showcasing migrant narratives built upon personal stories, her work reflects the complexities of identity, memory, and displacement. Her most recent work, Veil, explores memory and time through long-exposure photography, and laboriously repeated bodily movements layered with vibrant compositions of colour.

Resident of Heidelberg, Aldona will be exhibiting her work at the Bellfield Community Hub Studio. All artworks are available for purchase.
