Deborah Bowen works from her backyard studio, creating artworks and decorative pieces along with teaching classes and one off workshops. Themes of connection, community, repetition and fragmentation examining the effects of light on glass along with reflection and refraction are explored.
Deborah’s work incorporates influences and experiences gleaned from her life including glass, librarian, teacher and as a woman and mother connecting to her lived experiences and the world around her.
Deborah’s mantra, ingrained from her mother, is ‘keep your hands busy’.
