Claire Needham grew up in Tasmania, where she developed a strong interest in local history and a deep connection to nature. She enjoys exploring old buildings, beaches and forests, and her artworks are often inspired by these experiences.
Making use of photography, printmaking, painting, drawing, as well as unconventional materials, her work frequently involves intricate patterns, details, textures, and silhouettes.

Claire is a freelance photographer and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Tasmania. Currently residing in Melbourne, Claire will be exhibiting her work at the Ivanhoe Library and Culture Hub Studio.
