Judith Hoffmann

Ceramics

Rosanna (Zone 3, south)

Believing that there is an inherent magic in simplicity, Judith Hoffmann crafts sturdy, earthy wares designed to be used and enjoyed on a daily basis.

Soothing in their natural tones Judith’s wares are glazed to invoke the feel of our landscape, with dusty grey-green and umber-toned tableware inspired by the ancient river gums she encounters on her morning walks, giving a decidedly raw and earthy feel to the collection.

Her abstract sculptural pieces and wall hangings bring to mind the outlined forms of nature-stacked boulders, or the skeletal remains of farm machinery rusting in fields, or the framework of old railway bridges – she calls them Die Bruecke – The Bridge in her native German.

She works full-time out of her home studio in Rosanna.
