Tracey’s pottery is both unique and steeped in ceramic influences drawing from techniques learned through exploration of ceramic practices from around the world.
Heavily influenced by Japanese and European forms, glazing and firing techniques, her work is both beautiful and functional.
As a ceramic educator and artist of over 15 years, Tracey’s work unapologetically shows the artist’s hand through her constant quest to discover the qualities of clay and the effects of the differing ways the artist can process and manipulate it to achieve the final result.
Earthly warm colours and forms that invite pleasure in breaking bread with others, her forms are reminiscent of a time when eating nourishment was a celebration of life.
