Belinda Evans is a Heidelberg based artist working from a warehouse art studio in Heidelberg West. Her practice transforms memories of walking local Yarra-Birrarung river walks, and further afield along the Mornington Peninsula coast and walking the Camino in Spain. Utilizing water based mediums including watercolour, ink, pastel, charcoal, and Japanese mounting, Bel looks for ways to bypass analytical thought to capture the vital energy of a place and an experience. Her work focuses on a juxtaposition between our orderly logical side and the creativity found in our experiences of nature and connection with others.
