Kobie Swart is a painter, illustrator, printmaker and ceramist.
Drawing on her experience as a children’s book illustrator, the bright colours and patterns of her South African childhood, her travels, and her love for her garden, she describes her work as “material gardening” – playing with the elements of colour and texture to suggest a visual narrative.
