Deborah Bowen creates artworks and teaches kiln-formed-glass in her Rosanna studio.
Themes of connection, repetition, and fragmentation are explored alongside examination of the effects of light on glass looking at the pathways taken, reflection, refraction and density.
Deborah’s work incorporates influences from her life including glass-artist, librarian, teacher, a woman and mother, connecting to her lived experiences and the world around her. She began creating from her earliest days with her mother’s mantra of ‘keep your hands busy’ as a major influence. Deborah immerses herself in the glass world and is a supporter of the promotion of women in art.
