Laura is a Melbourne-based abstract painter whose work explores how experiences are held, disrupted, and reshaped over time. Through processes of layering, scraping, and reworking, she builds surfaces that carry traces of what came before; marks that are buried, revealed, and transformed.
Her approach is intuitive, allowing each piece to evolve through moments of tension, resistance, and change. The resulting works feel both grounded and shifting, inviting viewers to slow down and look closely.
Her practice has been recognised with a Highly Commended award at the 2025 MAVA Art Prize, reflecting her commitment to thoughtful, process-driven abstraction.
